It is a Portuguese Tradition to grow Trigo and Ervilaca during Christmas

Growing Instructions:

Seven days before Christmas day soak the seeds in water until they germinate. Once germination has occurred cover small bowls of soil with a thick coat of seeds (leaving the seeds above the soil). Water as needed, keeping the plant moist. The Trigo and Ervilaca should grow into the appropriate height by Christmas Eve and last until the Feast of the Three Kings (January 6).
